Jose Hernandez, VP, Analytics, Dunn Solutions

Mr. Hernandez is the Vice President of Analytics at Dunn Solutions Group. Mr. Hernandez’s personal goal is to help organizations use data to make informed business decisions. This is done by looking at historical data to understand what happened, use predictive analytics to understand why something happened and machine learning to operationalize optimized actions to improve the business outcomes. Mr. Hernandez holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and since the mid-1980s, he has been delivering software solutions to his clients; from stand along PC based business applications to, advanced analytics with data lakes, data warehouses and machine learning. 

Dan Horwich, President & Executive Director, CAMP IT Conferences

 

In 2001, Dan Horwich earned the title of President and Executive Director of CAMP IT Conferences. Prior to joining CAMP IT, Dan held sales and sales management positions at U.S. Robotics, 3Com, Mercantec, Spring Tide Networks, and Lucent Technologies, winning several sales and professional development awards.

 

An active networker, focused on making a difference in the professional lives of IT practitioners, Dan has built a win-win climate for CAMP IT’s attendees, speakers, and sponsors. He’s a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BBA in Marketing and lives in Glenview, IL with his wife and two daughters.

Andrew McGrath, VP, Digital Product Strategy, KeHE Distributors

 

Andrew F. McGrath began his career at Manhattan Associates, a prominent supply chain software firm, where he rapidly grasped the complexities of the B2B digital product lifecycle. His adaptability and comprehensive understanding of software design, development, and implementation subsequently led him to a venture-backed startup in Silicon Valley. In this dynamic environment, he refined his entrepreneurial abilities, playing a significant role in steering the company towards a successful sale. Andrew then utilized his expertise in a consulting role, aiding companies in the selection and implementation of packaged software systems. In 2013, he joined KeHE Distributors to spearhead the modernization of technology systems, successfully leading the company through a massive scale-up from $1 billion to $7 billion via organic growth and multiple acquisitions. He established and directed diverse teams in areas such as distribution systems, product engineering, business intelligence, product management, and strategic planning. A proud UIUC alumnus with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Andrew resides north of Chicago with his family and their two beloved cats, Jim and Steve.

 

Mark Miller, Data & Analytics Manager, Steel Warehouse

 

Mark is an accomplished analytics professional that has led data teams for the last 10+ years. His experience in the Finance, Healthcare, and Manufacturing industries has given him broad exposure to many different business types. He holds a degree in Economics and an MBA from Indiana University, and he currently teaches Business Analytics at Indiana University. He also leads the Data & Analytics team at Steel Warehouse; one of the top steel processors in the country. His main areas of expertise include Business Intelligence, Data Storytelling, and Data-Driven Planning. 

 

Rich Olejniczak, SVP – Data Programs and Business Analytics and Reporting, Wintrust Financial Corporation

 

Rich is an experienced analytical business leader with over 20 years industry knowledge and experience. He has led teams in both classical business areas as well as IT areas all focused on leveraging data to make transformational changes all focused on the customer experience. He holds degrees from The United States Military Academy, DePaul University and Northwestern University. He teaches Business Analytics, Operations and Research at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He also is the SVP – Data Programs and Business Analytics and Reporting at Wintrust where he’s responsible for the creation and delivery of analytical and reporting architecture, capabilities and practices to meet Wintrust’s business needs.

Product line manager turned marketing professional with a strong understanding of technology, product, organization, and market. A true champion of customers, with a proven track record of creating effective customer-centric marketing strategies. In-depth understanding of corporate and organizational goals and the ability to map those objectives to products, messaging, customer engagements, press relations, and analyst relations.

 

Accomplished product management and marketing leader with 10 years of experience in product management and marketing, as well as 5 years of experience in engineering leadership, encompassing semiconductor, consumer electronics, networking, data management, and cloud.

 

Dena Wilson, Manager, Data & Digital Services (DDS) Great Lakes Region Data Analytics, RSM US

 

Dena Wilson provides Data Analytics and Reporting, Strategy, and Business Intelligence expertise to a variety of enterprise entities.

Her experience crosses multiple industries with a strong background in the Microsoft Azure platform, which include SQL DB, Synapse, Data Factory, Analysis Services and Power BI. Dena has 20+ years of experience specializing in data warehouse, data modeling/architecture, data integrity, data integration and reporting analytics while utilizing best practice data management.


In her current role, Dena delivers strategy, advice, technical acumen and consultation regarding business intelligence and enterprise data strategies through assisting engagement teams. With her experience in end to end analytics, Dena is able to design, build and streamline an efficient and easily supported data infrastructure.

Prior to joining RSM, Dena was a lead data architect and engineer for Pacers Sports and Entertainment. In this role, Dena developed a data analytics platform that provided integrations across all business units, including social media data. Dena also developed several working partnerships including Microsoft, Salesforce and Ticketmaster. These partnerships and data platform helped PSE become a leader within the NBA for data analytics. Dena was also a leader for the NBA (Star) analytics initiative, providing mentoring to college graduates.

 

In her previous consulting experience, Dena has provided project management and integration leadership for several data warehouse/data analytics projects in industries such as banking/automotive/insurance/federal government. The most recent project, for Mizuho Bank, Dena was part of the team moving commercial trading data from on premise to a Snowflake cloud environment. Included in this large project was the transition of sourced data within Qlik reports with advanced analytics. This project provided a more efficient and enhanced analytics cloud platform that served as the beginning global design to move Mizuho Trading to a cloud infrastructure.
