Subu Desaraju, Chief Commercial Officer, iceDQ

In 2018, one of the largest British retail banks, TSB, botched a major customer data migration project. Millions of customers were affected as TSB’s website went down for more than three weeks. The chaos led to a UK parliamentary enquiry and fines for TSB and its CEO.

Subu will explain how failures in data testing, coupled with other organizational and technical shortcomings, created a perfect storm of disruption for TSB and its customers. The lessons learned from this costly mishap can serve as a cautionary tale for any firm undertaking complex IT transformations. He’ll also explain how thorough data migration planning, rigorous testing, robust quality control, and comprehensive contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure a smooth transition.
