Todd Becker, Principal Consultant, Halock Security Labs

Todd has been an information technology professional for over twenty years with extensive experience in business process redesign, applications development and management. As a member of HALOCK’s Governance and Strategy practice, Todd helps organizations integrate risk management into the enterprise to comply with regulatory and legal obligations, prioritize their resources, and develop controls to manage their risk. Todd is an ISO 27001 Auditor and PCI QSA. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business MIS & Marketing from Miami University.

Mark Bennett, Sr. UEBA & Insider Threat Specialist, Forcepoint

Mark has over 25 years of cybersecurity sales, leadership, and business development. Mark has worked on large complex InfoSec projects, helped channel partners launch InfoSec programs, has developed alliances and OEM partnerships in the cybersecurity area. He brings expertise in UEBA and insider threat security from his years of selling endpoint and big data cyber security systems. Focused on excellence in all aspects of business and life, Mark has a technical acumen in IT Security domains: Access Control/IAM, Network Security, Information Security Governance and Risk Management, Software Development Security, Cryptography, Security Architecture and Design, Operations Security, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, Legal, Regulations, Investigations and Compliance, plus Environmental Security – especially focused on Intellectual Property Protection.

Armando D’Onorio, Executive Director of Information Security Services, Purdue University Northwest

Armando D’Onorio has been leading information security programs in higher education since 2005. He serves as the Executive Director of Information and Cyber Security at Purdue University Northwest and is responsible for identifying areas of risk and shaping the University’s information security strategy, architecture, and vision. He partners with Senior Leadership, Legal Counsel, and University Stakeholders to discuss information security, risk, and options to limit liability. The information and cyber security program supports audit and compliance work; creates policy, standards, and procedures; and promotes security awareness. With the help of his able team, risk assessments are performed on new and existing services/vendors; vulnerability management tools are used to detect, notify, and report; and in the event of a system compromise, investigative and consultative services are provided. A strong ability to: achieve goals through influence and collaboration; focus on providing simple WIN-WIN solutions to complex problems; and communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences. Armando is a CISSP, GSLC, and GCCC certified professional.

Larry Hunka, Vice-President, Chief Information Security Officer, Adtalem Global Education

Larry Hunka is the Chief Information Security Officer at Adtalem Global Education, an organization that provides access to knowledge that transforms lives and enables careers. His charter includes providing Global Information Security Leadership to the Institution, establishing and maintaining the CyberSecurity Vision, Strategy and Program.

 

Before joining Adtalem, Larry was the Chief Information Security Executive at Northwestern Medicine, the parent organization of four of “America’s Best Hospitals” as ranked by U.S. News & World Report. Larry’s additional experience includes Executive Leadership roles at many prominent Chicagoland and national organizations, including: JPMorgan Chase, Northern Trust, and Nicor.

 

Larry’s extensive background in Cybersecurity and his cross-sector experience provides a unique perspective into the challenges that organizations face in building and evolving CyberSecurity programs to meet ever-changing risk & attack vectors.


Larry’s credentials include a Master’s degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology, an Undergraduate degree from Bradley University, and numerous certifications, including: CISSP, Six Sigma, and ITIL Foundation.

John Kellerhals, Information Security Manager, Wheels, Inc.

John Kellerhals, Information Security Manager at Wheels, has more than 20 years of experience in information security, incident response, governance and risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, security operations, and auditing. He currently holds the CISSP, CISA, CISM, and CRISC certifications. John is a governing body member of the CISO Executive Summit and a board member of the Chicago Chapter of Infragard. John also serves as the Finance Commission Chairman for the Village of Mount Prospect.

Steve has been an information technology professional with over twenty years of extensive IT and security experience that includes architecture, engineering, technology evaluations, deployments, and operations across all security domains. As a member of HALOCK’s Governance and Strategy practice, Steve consults with organizations in specialty areas that include identity and access management, web security, forensics, incident response, and more to keep their systems secure. Todd is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).

Byron Rashed, Vice President of Marketing, Centripetal Networks

Byron Rashed has over 20 years of industry experience spearheading global marketing and public relations programs in various B2B organizations that target IT security solutions to the enterprise and OEM markets.

 

Recently, he joined Centripetal as Vice President of Marketing where he leads all marketing and PR functions and is part of the senior management team. In his previous role as the Vice President of Global Marketing, Advanced Threat Intelligence for InfoArmor (acquired by Allstate), he was directly responsible for creating and implementing all global marketing and public relations strategies and tactics to develop brand awareness, product positioning and corporate communications.

 

Prior to joining InfoArmor, Mr. Rashed was the director of global marketing and product management at Emerging Threats (acquired by Proofpoint), and has held senior level global marketing positions at Altior, FirstCarbon Solutions and SSH Communications Security, the original developer of the Secure Shell (secsh) protocol, and senior global marketing manager at VPNet Technologies (acquired by Avaya).

 

Mr. Rashed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from New York University – Polytechnic, and is pursuing a graduate certification in marketing and communications from the University of California, Irvine. He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, American Marketing Association and Institute of Industrial Engineers.

Janet Roberts, Global Head of Security Education & Awareness, Zurich Insurance Company Ltd.

Janet Roberts joined Zurich Insurance in March 2015 as the Global Head of Security Awareness tasked with building the first security awareness program across Zurich, Zurich North America, and Farmers Insurance. Prior to Zurich, she built the first security awareness program for Progressive Insurance and re-designed the security awareness program at American Express. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from Temple University and an M.A. in Communications from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She loves writing novels, ice cream, wine, yoga, traveling, hiking, and getting lost in a really good book.

Mark Shipman, District Director of InfoSec, City Colleges of Chicago

Mark Shipman is currently the District Director of Information Security at the City Colleges of Chicago. CCC is the largest community colleges system in Illinois and one of the largest in the nation, with 5,000 faculty and staff serving more than more than 80,000 students annually at seven colleges and five satellite sites. Mark began his career building security technology to protect electric power grids and nuclear generation facilities. From there he moved to the financial sector before joining the Internet boom where he built security solutions for large online retailers in the early days of e-commerce. Since then he has brought his experience to technology, pharmaceutical, media, and HR benefits companies.

As a Microsoft MVP and industry expert, Annur brings 10 years of experience to work actively with other MVPs and Microsoft Partners to provide industry insight and strategic direction.

Michael Zachman, Chief Security Officer, Zebra Technologies

Mike Zachman is Chief Security Officer for Zebra Technologies, where he has global responsibility for its enterprise-wide product security, information security, and business continuity programs. Zachman is an experienced global leader with extensive information security, risk management and information technology knowledge. Previously, Zachman was CISO at Caterpillar, Ecolab, and Forsythe Technologies. Prior roles include director of enterprise risk management, internal audit director and regional CIO. Zachman has an undergraduate degree in management information systems from Millikin University, and a master’s degree in business administration from Bradley University. He is a Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Internal Auditor and is Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT. He is an active volunteer with Junior Achievement and Easter Seals.
